English Premier League leaders, Liverpool, survived the upset at home on Sunday as they climbed back from a goal down for a 2-1 victory over Tottenham Spurs to maintain their unbeaten start to the season, as well as their six points advantage over Manchester City, who won handily at home on Saturday – a 3-0 win over Aston Villa.
Manchester United made up for recent mishaps, winning away from home for the first time since February as they recorded a 3-1 win over bottom Norwich City, and Crystal Palace showed a lot of resilience at the Emirates against Arsenal – fighting back from a two-goal deficit – for a share of the spoils. Also on Sunday, Wolves fought back to earn a battling point against Newcastle.

Chelsea continued their recent surge with a 4-2 victory at Burnley for their fourth successive Premier League win with American youngster, Christian Pulisic, scoring a sensational hat-trick to announce his arrival in English football. Elsewhere on Saturday, a dramatic injury time own goal from Everton’s Lucas Digne consigned his side to their sixth defeat of the season in a 3-2 loss against Brighton, West Ham and Sheffield played to a 1-1 tie, and bottommost Watford were held to a goalless tie at home by Bournemouth.

Earlier on Friday, Leicester equaled the the 24-year-old record for the biggest ever Premier League victory as they destroyed 10-man Southampton by 9 goals to naught at a rainswept St Mary's.

Leicester demolished 10-man Southampton 9-0 on Friday Night Football.
Leicester were on the verge of history when they were awarded a last-minute penalty after Jamie Vardy was fouled by Yan Bednarek in the area. Vardy then converted from the spot for his hat-trick as the Foxes broke the record for the highest ever away win in the Premier League and matched the overall record.
Ben Chilwell (10) opened the floodgates early on with Southampton seeing Ryan Bertrand dismissed for a studs-up challenge on Ayoze Perez in the build-up that was picked up by VAR. Youri Tielemans (17) netted the second before Perez (19, 39) scored twice to extend Leicester's already-impressive lead before Vardy (45) added a late first-half fifth.
The attacking pair picked up where they left off in the second half, with Perez completing his hat-trick in the 57th minute and Vardy scoring his second goal a minute later, before a James Maddison (84) free kick made it an eye-watering eight.
The result sends Leicester above Manchester City into second in the table while Southampton drop into the bottom three on goal difference and are now level on -16 with bottom side Watford.

Manchester City 3-0 Aston Villa
Manchester City put on a second-half show to see off Aston Villa 3-0 at the Etihad on Saturday.
City struck inches wide on two occasions in a goalless first half through Gabriel Jesus and David Silva, but within seconds of the restart, Raheem Sterling had slotted home his sixth goal in four games for club and country (46).
David Silva then got the slightest touch on Kevin De Bruyne's cross for a controversial second after a VAR review for a potential Sterling offside (65) - with the Premier League later awarding the goal to the Spaniard after initially giving it to De Bruyne - but there was nothing contentious about Ilkay Gundogan's half-volley for 3-0 (70).
Fernandinho was dismissed late on for a needless second yellow card (87), and City remain 6 points behind Liverpool.
Brighton 3-2 Everton
A 94th-minute own goal from Lucas Digne gifted Brighton a 3-2 victory against Everton on Saturday in a dramatic encounter.
The Everton captain sent Leandro Trossard's cross into his own net after Neal Maupay (80) had made it 2-2 from the penalty spot not long before following a controversial VAR review.
Brighton had initially gone ahead inside 15 minutes, thanks to a wonderful Pascal Gross free-kick before an Adam Webster own goal (20) levelled thing up for Everton. Dominic Calvert-Lewin (73) then put the visitors ahead two minutes after coming on as a substitute, but they could not hold on for vital away points. Brighton moved into 12th with 12 points. Everton remain in 16th with 10 points.
Watford 0-0 Bournemouth
Watford remains bottommost of the table and without a win in the league this season following a frustrating 0-0 draw with Bournemouth at Vicarage Road.
Both sides created good chances in the opening stages, Abdoulaye Doucoure firing over from close range before Steve Cook's header rattled the crossbar.
Watford needed Ben Foster to deny Diego Rico and Arnaut Groeneveld just before half-time, while Aaron Ramsdale had to be at his best to keep out Gerard Deulofeu's individual effort after the interval.
Foster and Ramsdale exchanged further saves late on to deny Will Hughes and Ryan Fraser respectively, leaving both sides with a share of the spoils.
West Ham United 1-1 Sheffield United
Sheffield United remain unbeaten away from home in the League after Lys Mousset struck again in a 1-1 draw with West Ham.
In the first league meeting between the teams since the third-party ownership saga involving Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano in the season when Sheffield United were relegated 13 years ago, Robert Snodgrass gave West Ham the lead just before the break (44).
However, the Blades looked sharp in the final third and were good value for Mousset's equaliser (69) as he came off the bench to score his second goal in a week, after notching the winner against Arsenal on Monday.
West Ham are now four games without a win since beating Manchester United, while the Blades are unbeaten on the road in their last 14 league games - a run stretching back to January.
Burnley 2-4 Chelsea
Christian Pulisic marked his first league start since August with a hat-trick as Chelsea beat Burnley 4-2 at Turf Moor.
The Blues owed their seventh straight win in all competitions to the American's clinical finishing; first he deceived James Tarkowski to open the scoring (21) with his left foot before adding a second just before half-time with a right-foot shot which deflected off Ben Mee and past Nick Pope.
Pulisic sealed a perfect hat-trick after the break when he nodded Mason Mount's corner beyond Pope (56) and Chelsea looked in danger of running riot when Willian added a fourth two minutes later.
The visitors appeared likely to make it five when Callum Hudson-Odoi was awarded a penalty, but a VAR review overturned the decision and the substitute was booked, which seemed to act as a cue for the Blues to let up on their intensity.
They gave Burnley a glimmer of hope out of nowhere late on, with Jay Rodriguez's stunner (86) and Dwight McNeil's deflected effort (89) giving the hosts something to smile about, but it was Chelsea beaming at full-time as they moved level with third-placed Leicester on 20 points.

Newcastle 1-1 Wolves
Jonny took advantage of a Martin Dubravka error to earn Wolves a point from a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Newcastle.
The Magpies 'keeper palmed a Matt Doherty cross straight into the path of Jonny with 17 minutes remaining and he made no mistake to cancel out Jamaal Lascelles' opener.
Newcastle's skipper powered the hosts into the lead with an excellent header on 37 minutes, while Sean Longstaff was sent off for a high tackle on Ruben Neves in the 82nd minute, with Wolves then failing to capitalise on their extra man in the closing stages. Wolves moved up to 11th, while Newcastle remain one place above the relegation zone.
Arsenal 2-2 Crystal Palace
VAR took centre stage in a pulsating encounter at Emirates Stadium as Crystal Palace fought back from two goals down to secure a battling 2-2 draw with Arsenal.
Roy Hodgson's side benefitted from two VAR calls after Arsenal had raced into a two-goal advantage following goals from Sokratis Papastathopoulos (7) and David Luiz (9).
The first came when the visitors were correctly awarded a penalty after Calum Chambers felled Wilfried Zaha in the penalty area.
Zaha, who was heavily linked with a move to the Gunners in the summer, was initially booked for diving until the Video Assistant Referee intervened to award the spot-kick and Luka Milivojevic made no mistake.

Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham Spurs
Liverpool regained their six-point lead at the top of the Premier League as they came from behind to beat Tottenham 2-1 in a pulsating affair at Anfield on Super Sunday.
Spurs took a shock lead after just 47 seconds through Harry Kane's intuitive header, while Paulo Gazzaniga was forced into several fine saves as Liverpool laid siege on the visitors' goal.
Heung-Min Son hit the bar early in the second half after rounding Alisson, but Liverpool levelled through Jordan Henderson's half-volley from an angle (52).
Liverpool's comeback was complete when Serge Aurier kicked the back of Sadio Mane's leg in the box, allowing Mohamed Salah to slot home the penalty (75) for a deserved victory.
The result means Liverpool remain unbeaten, while Tottenham are down in 11th after just one win in five, and without a league away win since January.
Norwich 1-3 Manchester United
Norwich goalkeeper Tim Krul saved two VAR-awarded penalties but could not stop Manchester United from picking up their first Premier League away win in eight months with a 3-1 victory at Carrow Road.
Scott McTominay (21) gave United the lead, before Krul denied Marcus Rashford from the spot after Ben Godfrey was controversially judged to have fouled Dan James in the box.
Just two minutes after that save, Rashford beat Krul (30) following a brilliant ball from James and then VAR official David Coote overturned another Stuart Attwell decision on the stroke of half-time when Todd Cantwell's arm blocked a Fred shot.
Anthony Martial saw Krul guess right again from the spot-kick and the Frenchman had to wait until the 73rd minute to finally beat the Dutchman and make it 3-0.
Onel Hernandez scored a consolation goal for the hosts in the 88th minute but the result means Norwich remain second bottom, while United move up to seventh from 15th.
