Actress and host of Rhythmz A-Z on Joy FM, a subsidiary of the Multimedia Group, Naa Ashorkor, has been given the boot by her employers.

According to the screen diva in a Facebook post that read, "With immediate effect as of yesterday, my now former employers, Multimedia Group, terminated my appointment. That's the bad news".

She added that such situations gives her God the opportunity to show up. According to her, it is not a comfortable time to be out of regular and steady income.

She used the opportunity to motivate all who have lost their jobs or income not to lose hope in these trying times.

She signed off with a Biblical quote to inspire hope in her followers, "Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans. I have for you,” declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

In the wake of the steep economic decline in commercial activities brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, many businesses have folded up, leaving employers with no option, but to axe their employees.

Was Naa Ashorkor's appointment terminated as a result of COVID-19 or for non-performance? Your guess is as good as mine. Stay tuned for more updates as the story unfolds.
